/in Councillors /by info@parishcouncilwebsites.co.ukI am a 65-year-old Studley born-and-bred resident.
I attended Studley High School and upon leaving I started work as an apprentice carpenter. Later I decided upon a career change and moved to another company in the building industry as a trainee quantity surveyor. I remained with that large national company for over forty years and progressed to the position of Midlands Regional Director.
I married my wife Julie in 1988 and we have one child, a son, who was born in 1995.
In 2013 my wife and I established a UK medical company marketing products patented by a Swiss doctor, and we ran that company up until my retirement.
In my younger years I played football for N.I. sporting FC whose home ground was Studley Sports and Social Club. Being too old to play competitive football now I get my exercise walking our Springer Spaniel each day coupled with the occasional round of golf, which more often than not, turns out to be a long walk losing golf balls along the way.
I am honoured to have held the position of Chairman of the Parish Council working with a highly dedicated team of councillors and staff, especially through the turbulent and testing times of the Covid Pandemic.
As long as I am a councillor it is my determination to continue carrying out my duties on behalf of, and for the benefit of, the residents and community.

/in Councillors /by info@parishcouncilwebsites.co.ukI have now been a resident of Studley for well over 30 years, having moved here, with my wife Sonia, in 1989. Our three daughters all attended Studley schools and still live locally.
My career began in horticultural research and evolved into agri-environmental research and consultancy. More recently, what began as a spare time interest, with voluntary support for my three competitive swimmer daughters, has become my main job – as I have worked for various local employers as a swimming teacher and coach. For several years I was the Head Coach at Redditch Swimming Club and, although now semi-retired, I still regularly teach at Abbey Stadium and near Stratford.
I was formerly, several years ago now, a parent governor at Studley Community Infants’ School. For the past year or so, I have been regularly working as a volunteer at the Where Next charity’s Spernal nursery and garden centre, working with adults with learning difficulties.
As a co-opted member of Studley Parish Council, which I joined in November 2021, I serve on the Council’s Planning Committee and the management committee of Studley Sports and Social Club. I also have specific responsibilities for Studley Library and Studley Nature Reserve.

/in Councillors /by info@parishcouncilwebsites.co.ukLiving in Studley since 1983, my children all attended Studley schools and even today all live within five miles of the village. Additionally, I have six grandchildren. A former School Governor, PTA Chairman and Studley Carnival Chairman, I retired four years ago and therefore have the time to spend trying to improve the local environment and village-based activities.
Currently involved in many Community activities, including being the Treasurer of the Studley Sports and Social Club for a seven-year period, Studley in Business for over five years and a founder director of Aunty Jen Productions. Over the past four years I have co-organised the annual Studley Lights switch-on event, including the Christmas Market.
Passionate about the need to remember the contribution our Armed Forces have made to our Country and the Commonwealth, I act as co-organiser for the Studley British Legion annual parade. With others I assist in organising the annual Studley Flower Show. Also taking a very keen interest in the newly formed Studley Dementia Café.
As a Parish Councillor, I am currently working to establish a new Community Centre in the former youth centre, together with my other activities on the Finance and Staffing Committee.
My interests outside volunteering include sports of all types, classic cars, gardening, holidays and playing a ukulele (very badly).
