Councillor

My childhood was spent travelling between Australia and the UK, so after I had finished my studies in the late 90s and found work in the Midlands, I wasn’t really sure how long I’d stick around. It didn’t take long though before I met my soul mate, got married and eventually decided to try and be more grown up, maybe get on the housing market, maybe buy a cat, and even start a family! So eventually in 2002 we moved to Studley.

Fast forward to today and we are still here, possibly a little more grown up, sadly no longer have the cat, but instead, have 2 teenage daughters, 2 Beagles and 6 ducks!

The day job has been a career of technical and management roles for Rolls-Royce, working on aero engine fuel control systems. When not at work I can be found walking (being dragged by) the hounds around the village and Heart of England Forest, Taxi driver for the kids, or volunteering for Aunty Jen Productions as a roadie/sound and lights engineer/props designer, pretty much have a go at anything that’s technical and doesn’t involve being on the stage!

I was co-opted on to the Parish Council June 2023, my decision to join was inspired by how the Studley community reacted to the Covid pandemic and recognising, in a time of restricted travel and working from home, how good living in Studley has been for me and my family.

I have joined the Community Engagement and Finance Committees and am looking forward to listening to the Studley Residents I represent along with trying to support regeneration projects that help our diverse environment and support decisions that benefit the whole community.
